"Foul Ball" is a book by "Ball Four" author and former big league pitcher Jim Bouton that chronicles his efforts to save historic Wahconah Park in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Bouton, never one to shy away from a fight (still the Bulldog), takes on the public officials in Pittsfield who want to build a spiffy new stadium, at taxpayer expense. Plus, the people of Pittsfield don't want a new, expensive ballpark. They want to keep Wahconah Park! This story would be unbelievable if not for Bouton telling it, and he does so in his typical humorous and unique style. Very highly recommended. BR.
