Legends Baseball Game
LEGENDS GAME 2007 The 3rd Annual Legends Baseball Game was held on Friday night July 20th at Security Service Field (Sky Sox Stadium). The American League bounced back this year to trounce the National League squad 9-5. Again, the big winner was the Autism Society of Colorado. As for your affable Turf host, BR was 0-1 with a walk, a run scored and a strikeout. Rogan's career Legend's Game batting average? A less than healthy .000. Dougie Ottewill had the highlight of the night, leading off the game with an inside-the-park home run. Rosters and pics will be posted soon.
LEGENDS GAME 2006 It was my privledge to play in the 2nd Annual Legends Baseball Game at Sky Sox Stadium, a.k.a. Security Service Field, on August 18, 2006 in Colorado Springs. It was a great experience to lace up the cleats again and play some ball but the real winner was the Autism Society of Colorado. The main purpose of the game was to raise awareness and to promote quality of life for people with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families. The game is put on by Mark Knudson who has an autistic son Mathew. Proceeds from the game benefit the Autism Society of Colorado and SOS-AD, which stands for Stomp Out the Silence of Autism and Disabilities. Please educate yourself by visiting the following websites: www.autismcolorado.org and www.sos-ad.org Thanks!
