Michie Stadium

Home of the Army Black Knights since 1924. Capacity: 39,929. As good as it gets for college football. The pageantry, the tail-gating, the skydivers presenting the game ball, Michie (pronounced "Mikey"...named after Dennis Michie who started football at West Point in 1890) Stadium is a must see venue. There is also a new press box which is run by the best sports information director in the nation, Bob Beretta. Army football has taken it on the chin in recent years but will rebound, hopefully soon. A bronze plaque at Michie Stadium says it all, "I WANT AN OFFICER FOR A SECRET AND DANGEROUS MISSION. I WANT A WEST POINT FOOTBALL PLAYER." > General George C. Marshall, Chief of Staff, U.S. Army- World War II. I love this place. Bill Rogan's Rating: 10
