The Teammates

Another stellar effort by acclaimed author David Halberstam (Summer of 49) as he tells the tale of the lifelong friedship of Boston Red Sox teammates Ted Williams, Johnny Pesky, Bobby Doerr and Dom DiMaggio. The book revolves around a final visit that Pesky and DiMaggio took to Florida to see their dying teammate Williams one last time. Well worth reading. BR.
